Goddess of Water

The Goddess of Water is one of four pieces entitled “Goddesses of Nature” created with acrylic paint. It captures the essence of being Black in the Environment by depicting the element of water, whose image would be described as "If my painted imagination was fiction" by the artist.

Tricia Greaux truly believes that her name reveals her destiny Tri (Tree) Ci (Sea) Akira (sunlight) Greaux (pronounced “Griot” -West African term for storyteller). Tricia Greaux is an environmental storyteller, born in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis.

After being introduced to earring making by Hazel Brookes, Tricia used beads, seeds, and wooden bases to craft her initial set of earrings. Later, she expanded her signature style of painted wooden earrings, brooches, bracelets, bookmarks, fridge magnets, and tree ornaments. Detailed artwork reflecting the environment inspires her.

Her latest ventures include acrylic and water-based paintings that channel the life flow of terrestrial and marine environments, evoke historical remembrances, and powerful pieces radiating feminine energy.

She is most excited about her art pieces finding a home with you.
