The Transnational Politics of June Jordan

Caribbean Feminist Teach-In Series

Grounded in Black, Caribbean, and Indigenous feminisms, Intersect Antigua-Barbuda’s main objectives include the provision of free political education to Caribbean people – from local Antiguans and Barbudans to Caribbean people across the region and the diaspora.

Informed by bell hooks’ pedagogical tenets in Teaching to Transgress, and Paulo Freire’s insights on a critical consciousness that eschews a banking model of education in Pedagogies of the Oppressed, we locate ourselves as co-creators of Caribbean feminist knowledge production with the people of the Caribbean.
