Annetta Jackson

Annetta Jackson is a creative, advocate and most importantly, Caribbean Feminist.

She is a 20-something year old qualified Barrister, called to the Bar of England and Wales and holds a Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School. She is passionate about advocacy, policy reform and human rights law.

Since completing Bar School in 2020, she has served as the Project Manager for the European Union funded Death Penalty Abolition Project EIDHR/2017/ 394-69 “Building a Platform for Abolition: Strengthening the Anti-Death Penalty Movement in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean” combining her academic discipline with her activism.

She has worked with the Equality Fund as a creative on their Women’s Voice and Leadership Grant Launch and has expanded her work in philanthropic advocacy as a communications consultant for the Black Feminist Fund.

Annetta also serves as an OECS U-Report Ambassador helping to collate youth perspectives on employment, gender equality, and governance.

She loves getting lost in the pages of a good and telling stories through images and words. In all her creative undertakings she tries to shine a spotlight on black perspectives, creativity, and womanhood.
