MENTAL HEALTH
The Clean Up
Remember when you did feel like magic and how you dressed according to your moods and wore bright reds, yellows, and gold hoops.
MENTAL HEALTH
Memory Games
Yuh wake up screaming, parched lips bitter from the tail-end of another nightmare…
MENTAL HEALTH
Wrinkled Memory
There are pockets in my mind
that empty themselves
Mental Health
Mental health encompasses our emotional, psychological, and psychosocial wellbeing. Feminism requires us to complicate a clinical understanding of mental health care. It is a Caribbean feminist issue—rooted in healing justice, disability justice, and liberation—that demands restoration from colonization and its by-product, intergenerational trauma.
